WITIA Terms and Conditions

WITIA membership is available to all persons who have been employed for a minimum of six months in the travel and tourism industries, and whose employment description falls within the list of industry categories as stated in the “Join Now” document posted on the WITIA website – www.witia.org. Any application for membership must be accompanied by payment of the current membership fee as well as the joining fee, if applicable, in order to be considered. All potential memberships will be evaluated by the Director of Membership, and the applicant will be informed of acceptance or denial as soon as possible.

WITIA members in good standing whose Alliance dues are current shall have full access to all areas of the WITIA website including the password-protected MEMBERS ONLY section. WITIA members’ business and personal information such as name, business name, address, and contact information, gathered through WITIA’s application, registration, or administrative processes, shall be displayed in this section. Each member whose information appears in this section has agreed that it may be accessible to all other WITIA members.

As a condition of using the private information listed in the MEMBERS ONLY section, all users agree to do all possible to shield this information from retrieval by others without the express written permission of those WITIA members whose contact information might be revealed. This means that in all cases of multiple addressees, whether electronic or not, the names and addresses of members shall be blind copied.

Members are encouraged to use the contact information provided by WITIA for personal or business communications. However, it is forbidden to use this information for any unlawful purposes, such as the transmission of illegal information or documents, hate literature, pornography, or other types of objectionable materials. Any questions or complaints in this regard should be addressed to the WITIA President. Members who misuse the personal information of members, as listed above, shall be subject to dismissal from the Alliance. The final decision as to which is acceptable and non-acceptable material is at the discretion of the Board of WITIA.

WITIA will endeavour to maintain accurate and up-to-date member listings. If you have a change of information or notice that your information is not listed correctly, please email all corrections, additions, or deletions to the Director of Membership.

Privacy and Security Policy

When purchasing from WITIA your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology.128-bit SSL encryption is approximated to take at least one trillion years to break and is the industry standard. Refund Policy

Please choose your classification of membership carefully.  We do not give refunds once payment has been made regardless of a  change in employment or circumstances.   Membership will be valid for 12 months from the date of receipt of payment.

National Privacy Principles

We subscribe to the ten National Privacy Principles from Schedule 3 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) as amended to 14 September 2006.

Browsing

When you browse our site, we track all pages that are viewed.  This information is held on Google Analytics as well as in our server logs.

Searches

Search terms that you enter when using our search engine are collected. We use these search terms to ascertain what people are looking for at this site and to improve the services that we provide.

Cookies
